Final Admissions Checklist

1. Send Final Transcripts and Test Scores

Once your grades post for your final semester, please send your final transcripts to Undergraduate Admissions. This will allow us to keep your academic record fully up-to-date and accurate. If you have taken any AP, IB, CLEP or DSST exams, please also send those scores as well.

If you have any questions about sending final transcripts or test scores, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at admissions@calbaptist.edu or (951) 343-4212.

2. Finalize Financial Aid

If you have not already done so, please complete your FAFSA as soon as possible. Once CBU receives it, the financial aid team will review your FAFSA to determine your eligibility for grants, scholarships and loans. Submit all financial aid documents and then accept/decline your financial aid offer on LancerLink.

For more information, please see details below. If you have questions, contact the Financial Aid Office at finaid@calbaptist.edu or (951) 343-4236.

1. Complete your FAFSA.

Complete your 2026-2027 FAFSA as soon as possible. A student's academic standing and financial need as determined by the FAFSA can impact the amount and type of financial aid offered.

2. Submit all financial aid documents.

  • Verification documents: If you have been selected for verification (notified via LancerMail):
    • Click the Student Finance tab
    • In the Financial Aid Office card, click Turn in Documents

3. Accept/decline financial aid offer on LancerLink.

After CBU has provided a personalized financial aid offer, you may accept/decline or reduce aid as needed to cover your charges. The amount awarded may be reduced or canceled to comply with federal, state and university regulations if you are enrolled less than full time or cease attendance during the semester.

  • Click the Student Finance tab
  • In the My Financial Aid card, click Go to My Financial Aid button
  • Click the Offer tab at the top to review, accept or decline aid
  • Next to each piece of financial aid is a status or box where you can accept or decline. Once you have made your selection click the submit button at the bottom of the page.

Learn more about the types of financial aid, loans or VA benefits you may see on your financial aid offer.

Note: Do not assume that your financial aid offer will cover your balance in full.

3. Make Payment Arrangements and Confirm Enrollment

The Student Accounts Office is responsible for assisting with questions regarding tuition and fees, payment options, payment due dates, book vouchers and refunds. Our friendly staff can help you set up payment arrangements to pay tuition and fees on time so that you can stay enrolled at CBU and on track to graduation.

New Lancer Launch (Coming Soon!)

Additional Steps

Emergency Contact Information: In the event of an emergency, CBU will attempt to notify your emergency contacts. Please complete the Emergency Contact section on your LancerLink Profile Personal Information (login required). It is critical that CBU authorities know the person(s) you would like us to contact on your behalf in the event of an emergency. Emergency contact information is used solely by approved CBU personnel in the event of a declared emergency event.

Please provide contact information for up to three people, and designate the order in which you would like them to be called. We will call all numbers provided for your first contact. If we are unable to reach your first contact at any of the numbers provided, we will call your second contact. If we are unable to reach your second contact, we will call your third contact and repeat the cycle until we reach one of your designated contacts. You may change the calling order by clicking the pencil icon and changing the Order Number. To deactivate a person as your emergency contact, click the trash can icon next to their information. You may update your emergency contact information at any time.

Students interested in purchasing the student health insurance should visit www.calbaptist.edu/healthinsurance.

Complete your FERPA as soon as possible.

Proxy Management and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

California Baptist University is unable to release any personal educational information to anyone other than the student, including parents, spouse, or other individuals, unless you choose to grant permission.

We want to make sure you understand how to manage who can access your educational information under FERPA. To make this process easy, the university uses Proxy Management in the student portal.

Proxy Management allows you to designate a parent, guardian, spouse, or other trusted individual to view specific information in your student account. This also authorizes university officials to share the specific information you select with those individuals when they contact campus offices.

Pleaseclick here to access the Proxy/FERPA Management portal (LancerNet Account login required). Click the Add New button to get started. It is important to enter and remember your Passphrase, and to inform your authorized people of it. This phrase will be requested when meeting/corresponding with CBU offices.

To bring a vehicle to campus, you need to register it and obtain a parking permit. Good news: It's FREE to park on campus! Instructions on how to register your vehicle are coming soon. Check back here in the future for more information!

It is important to log in and check your LancerMail account daily throughout your time here at CBU. You can locate your LancerMail account under the quick links card pinned to the "Home" page on LancerLink (login required).

Utilize the Campus Store for your course materials and textbooks: https://bookstore.calbaptist.edu/
